I knew from a young age that I wanted to work in a field where I would learn about the intricacies of the human body and help people to achieve health and wellness. I’ve always been fascinated by the way the body will adapt to whatever stresses are placed on it. But as we all know, sometimes these adaptations are not favourable, and we experience aches and pains because of them. After much thought about which direction to go in healthcare, I made the decision to enroll in the 3,000 hour massage therapy program at Vancouver College of Massage Therapy to embark on a heart-filled journey toward a career as an RMT.
My main priority as an RMT is to help you reach your wellness goals quickly and effectively. I believe that in order to be successful, we need to be thorough; therefore, I incorporate an interview and assessment, a targeted treatment plan, and will give you appropriate exercises to complete at home. Over time, I will perform reassessment to determine if our sessions are accomplishing your desired goals.
Alongside the traditional Swedish Massage modality, I also utilize a variety of soft tissue manipulation methods including Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and Muscle Energy Techniques to effectively create change within the body.
I ask that you be engaged and invested in your journey towards better health and vitality, as you know your body better than anyone. I look forward to meeting you and working with you to achieve your wellness goals!
